I knew I was going to see a great show on Friday but I had no clue I was going to witness the greatest performance I have ever heard or seen. A songwriter with an acoustic guitar is as stripped down as it gets, there’s no distortion to hide behind and no backing tracks to Chris Martin your way out of. Joseph held the audience in the palm of his hand for 90+ minute set that saw him touching on songs from throughout his career. He’s releasing a full length album (Temporary People) on top of his just released four EP’s, quite simply he’s one of the most prolific artists of our time. He’s touring behind his Foreign Girls EP and will be coming through your town later this year with the Lonely Astronauts. Pretend you’ve known about him all along and spread the word to a friend, they might even forgive you for owning that Matt Kearney cd.
